IEW homework due 3/30/2015

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A VERY HARD ASSIGNMENT. HOPEFULLY THEY GOT ENOUGH INFORMATION IN THEIR INTERVIEWING IN CLASS TO WRITE A BASIC BIOGRAPHY. IF THEY ARE MISSING A SECTION (SUCH AS THE QUOTE), THEY CAN SIMPLY NOT DO THAT PARAGRAPH.

Student Biography Report:

Using the biography interview sheet completed in class, write a biography report in THIRD PERSON (the students learned about this today). The format of the report should be as follows:

Introduction Paragraph: Contains the person’s name and an introductory statement that includes the Why Is This Person Important Information. (Example: To strangers on the street, Enrique Hernandez appears to many as an average, unexceptional nine year-old. His life story, however, shows that he has extraordinary talents and interests. In his short life Enrique has made a difference by helping care for the Earth through his work in Cub Scouts, and as an older brother he assists his mom in caring for his siblings. This important work makes Enrique a valuable member of his family and community.

Paragraph on Important Events
Paragraph on His/Her Accomplishments
Paragraph Discussing any interesting Personal Information/Facts
Personal Quote/Motto/Goal/Mission and explanation (This can optionally be weaved into the conclusion if appropriate.)
Conclusion Paragraph using the personal Quote: Try to weave the personal quote into your conclusion. (Example: Enrique Hernandez may be nine years old, but he has helped many in that short time. His life goal, “I won’t stop caring for people until I die,” shows his love, compassion, and commitment to others. With a goal like that, Enrique Hernandez will continue on the path of being an extraordinary person, and he will surely succeed in the future.
