Homework due 2/23/2015

The students worked on brainstorming what they know and learning how to develop characters using a question checklist. The homework is as follows:

1. Based on the two topics you chose in class, you will be writing a creative fiction story. To do this, first complete the character questions for AT LEAST two characters. Then, if necessary, do a keyword outline for the story (not required but helpful to determine how your story flows). Then write the story! 🙂 The minimum length for this writing project: one page handwritten.

2. Freewrite: Tiny Nature. Using the object you found during our time outside, write what a universe/world inside that object might look like. (If you need inspiration, read Horton Hears a Who.) The minimum length for this writing project: one paragraph.

***PARENTS: If your child is overwhelmed by the amount of writing this week, pick ONE assignment and work hard on that.***
